Refund and Cancellation Policy

At BookTourGuides, we strive to provide exceptional service and ensure a seamless experience for both tourists and guides. This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the procedures and conditions under which refunds and cancellations are handled for bookings made through our platform.
2. For Tourists
2.1 How We Use Your Information
Tourists can cancel their bookings at any time. The refund for the advance payment (7.5%) will be processed according to the following schedule:
- Within 24 hours after booking confirmation: No deduction (Full Refund).
- Within 2-7 days after booking confirmation: 50% deduction of the advance payment.
- After 7 days from booking confirmation: No refund of the advance payment.
- Within 24 hours before the booked date: No refund of the advance payment.
To request a cancellation, tourists must log into their BookTourGuides account and follow the cancellation process on our platform. The remaining balance of the payment is made directly to the tour guide after the tour is completed, and any refund for this portion is subject to agreement between the tourist and the guide.
2.2. Refund Processing
Refunds will be processed back to the original payment method used at the time of booking. The processing time may vary depending on the payment method and financial institution.
3. For Guides
3.1. Cancellation by Guides
Guides are expected to honor their commitments to bookings. However, in unavoidable circumstances, guides can cancel bookings under the following conditions:
- Cancellation Request Before 14 Days: Guides must request to cancel a booking at least 14 days before the booked date.
- Cancellation Request Within 24 Hours: If the booked date and booking confirmation date are within these 14 days, guides must request cancellation within 24 hours of the booking confirmation.
3.2. Consequences of Late Cancellations
Failure to adhere to the above cancellation policies may result in penalties, including but not limited to:
- Blacklisting: Guides who repeatedly violate the cancellation policy may be blacklisted from the platform.
- Reputation Impact: Negative reviews and ratings from affected tourists may impact the guide’s profile and future bookings.
4. Additional Conditions
4.1. Force Majeure
Neither BookTourGuides, the tourist, nor the guide shall be liable for any failure or delay in performing their obligations under this policy if such failure or delay is caused by circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, or acts of God.
4.2. Amendments to the Policy
BookTourGuides reserves the right to amend this Refund and Cancellation Policy at any time. We will notify users of any changes by posting the updated policy on our website. Continued use of our services after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
